The History of Censorship:
Music is apart of everyones everyday routine. We listen to music for hours. The average person at about 2-4 hours a day. Whether in the car, on the bus, or even just doing homework, we all listen to music.
Music censorship dates back all the way to the 1800's when the southerners were prohibited from singing confederate songs after the civil war ended. Censorship started becoming a big deal in the 1950's when rock started becoming a big deal. Most songs were prohibited during this time period because the music was to "sexual", for example Elvis Presley "The King" in most of his performances Elvis had to be filmed from the waist up because his dancing was considered too sexual.
